I solved a problem for the architect, Doug Proctor, without even leaving my office---doing all our work by phone and fax.

The project was a commons building for the University of Delaware at Newark, Delaware. The architect was concerned about sound transmission between rooms, especially from a commons area. He sent me drawings; I analyzed the sound transmission requirements between a commons area and a conference room, and send my recommendations in the form of a report and detail drawings.

It worked.
