Poems
I began writing poems this spring. I had read a published poem by a friend from long ago and said to myself "I can do that."
I like how the discipline of rhyme and meter forges ones language.
This one is a little sad.
End of Summer
Perhaps everyone has had this experience.
Cycle Circle
Robert Frost was the model for this poem:
Buchanan Park
This poem started out as a series of etudes.
Four Quatrains
This poem has a very elegant scheme of rhyme and meter.
The Girls of Spring
But perhaps this one is a better poem.
The Girls of Spring (revised)
For an old neighbor who is moving.
For Gabriella
For my daughter's wedding.
An Acrostic Wedding Sonate
For the love of my life.
What If?
Porches
My Father
A sort of Haiku--but not really.
