This middle school auditorium renovation was a show-case project for the architectural firm McKissock/Sunday. As you can read in the testimonial below, speech is clearly audible without amplification.

When I gave my lecture demonstration, I used no microphone, and my violin was nicely supported.

"As work was completed on our total auditorium renovation in early October, we started to meet with large groups of students. In the pre-renovated auditorium we almost always had to use a microphone and the house amplification system. We immediately noticed that no amplification was needed in the renovated facility. I could easily address 400 students in a regular speaking voice and even those in the back of the room could easily hear me.

In late October our facility was used for a benefit concert by an outside group. After the concert the performers said that this was one of the best facilities, acoustically, in which they had performed.

In December we held our holiday concerts. These were three programs that "packed" the house. Probably 50 to 100 adults (parents and visitors) remarked to me how impressive the auditorium was and how clearly every voice and instrument could be heard.

The first weekend in March we performed our Spring Musical production, which was a selection of songs from Annie, Grease, and Oliver. It was amazing the number of attendees who again remarked on the acoustic quality of the facility and how clearly every performer could be heard.

As we continue to "learn" how to use this facility we continue to be impressed with the acoustics. As word is spreading about this facility we are getting more requests from community groups to use it for their performances.

In my opinion, the renovation exceeded our expectations!"
